Curriculum and Instruction

The Curriculum and Instruction Department is committed to developing, leading, and supporting all staff so that our students have the best possible learning experience.  The team is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of the district’s instructional programs.   In support of those instructional programs, a priority is to provide high-quality professional learning so that staff is well-equipped to meet student needs.  Inherent in the planning and delivery of instruction is the belief that ALL students can learn and should be offered every opportunity to take their learning to the highest levels.

Our Goals:

1. Strengthen consistent professional development district-wide focused on standards-based curriculum development and progress monitoring.
2. Ensure high-quality Professional Learning Community (PLC) systems are in place at every school.
3. Establish a system to monitor and support effective classroom instruction.
4. Support principals to deliver high-quality, meaningful feedback and coaching.
